Ubicación Geográfíca

La parte norte del municipio Palma soriano se encuentra ubicada en la Llanura del Cauto y la sur en la vertiente norte de la Sierra Maestra. Limita al norte con el Municipio Mella y la provincia Holguín, al este con San Luis, al sur con Santiago de Cuba y Guamá y al oeste con los municipios de Tercer Frente y Contramaestre. Además, es el centro de una rica región agraria, destacando las plantaciones de café, frutales y caña de azúcar.

Tiene una extensión territorial de 845.8 kms cuadrados ocupando el 13.7 % de la superficie de la provincia y el tercer lugar entre los municipios restantes. Dista a 46 kms de la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba y 898 de la ciudad de La Habana.

The northern part of Palma Soriano municipality is located in the Cauto Valley, the South part of that municipality is very close to the Sierra Maestra mountain it is link to the North, to Mella municipality and the province of Holguin, to the East to San Luis and to the South to Santiago de Cuba and Guamá, to the East to the municipalities of Tercer Frente and Contramaestre.

It´s territorial extension is of about 845,8 km2, it occupied the 13.7% extension of the province, and the third place among the other municipalities of the province, it is 46 kms. Faraway from the city of Santiago de Cuba and 898 from the city of Havana.
