President Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega, who visited the neighboring
nation on Sunday, will attend the meeting, the Direction of Information,
Press and Publicity Office of the Presidency stated.
Fernandez de la Vega ratified on Sunday the European Union's commitment,
which Spain presides over the first semester of the year, of sending
all possible aid to Haiti, devastated by an earthquake on January
12.
According to the official note, the main issue of the discussion
will be how the international cooperation aimed to Haiti turns into
a short-mid term project.
Fernandez, Preval and Haiti's Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive
already analyzed the general guidelines of the program, when the
Dominican president visited Port-au-Prince on Thursday.
Fernandez invited representatives from multilateral organizations
like the United Nations, the World Bank, the Caribbean Community,
the Inter-American Development Bank, and other regional cooperation
entities.
