Posada Bail Offends World

Guatemala, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) The conditional release in the United States of Luis Posada Carriles is an offense for to all people in the world who have been victims of his terrorist actions, Guatemalan political leader Ricardo Rosales stated on Tuesday.

For the former guerrilla commander and signer of Peace Accords, this decision, which can only be explained as President George Bush s order, also outrages all democratic and progressive people of the world.

He recalled that Posada Carriles was not only trained in torture in Central America and participated in the Iran-Contra operation, but also involved Guatemalans in terrorist actions against Cuban hotels.

Rosales told Prensa Latina that among that man s innumerable crimes is the explosion in mid air of a Cuban airplane that killed 73 people in 1976.

The Guatemalan leader said that Posada Carriles must be captured and extradited to Venezuela to be tried for the Barbados crime.
