Rues Cuban Loss
Managua, Jun 20, 2009 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban embassy in Nicaragua
will open a book of condolences for the death in Havana of Cuban
heroine, Vilma Espin.
Vilma Espin died Monday in Havana after suffering a long illness
and her death has provoked many signs of pain and sadness among
Nicaraguans.
"I am deeply moved mostly because the Sandinistas have strong
bonds of brotherhood and affection for Cuban men and women,"
expressed the wife of Daniel Ortega, Rosario Murillo, taking part
in the public event last night.
The Nicaraguan First Lady sent the Cuban people, President Fidel
Castro, the First Vice President Raul Castro and family of Vilma
Espin a poem about the revolutionary and human values of the heroine.
"For Vilma who lived with love, ever more revolutionary commitment,
more and more love," expresses the letter that was also signed
by President Ortega.
The Association of Cuban Residents in Nicaragua and the Che Guevara
Committee also expressed their sadness for the loss of the revolutionary
combatant and women s leader from the Caribbean Island.
